Biography
Alex Michael Coury was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on January 7, 1991, to Margaret Grant, an artist, and Paul Coury a business owner. At ten years of age, he appeared in the popular TV series Bug Juice on the Disney channel (2001).
As the youngest and only boy of 4 siblings, Alex honed in on his ability to stand out. From an early age, Alex was always entertaining his family, teachers and peers with his antics, namely his impersonations and voices. When he was five, Alex went with his family to see the play Grease where he was called up to the stage by the cast for an audience dance competition; he took the gold over several adults by impersonating Danny Zuko, and it's safe to say he caught the bug to become an actor and entertainer.
Alex spent his 7th and 8th grade years at Missouri Military Academy where he excelled academically and athletically. He joined the brigadier team and spent the rest of his time practicing basketball, soccer, football, and wrestling. At 14, Alex graduated from military school and went back home to attend high school at Bishop Kelley in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He remained, as always, very outgoing and unique. In high school, Alex received key roles in school performances and was also active in several different plays in surrounding Tulsa communities. During his graduating year, he was even voted Drama King by the student body.
In 2008, he moved to LA to pursue acting. After studying Fine Arts at the New York Film Academy and a valet job at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Alex landed his first agency audition and continues to penetrate the entertainment industry. He was cast in a number of roles, the first as the prom king in Avril Lavigne's music video "Here's to Never Growing Up." His latest roles have been the face and voice of company training videos.
Acting is Alex's biggest passion. He is a driven and talented young man with abilities that stretch from comedic and dramatic acting. He is well rounded in accents, voice over work, impersonations and stand-up comedy. Alex trained at Playhouse West, The Groundlings and Second City in Hollywood. In addition, he was trained in stage combat by Jack Huang (The Mummy, Pacific Rim, The Last Ship, etc.) who is one of the best fight choreographers in Hollywood. A person with fierce drive, ambition and the desire to always improve, Alex Coury is turning into a legend of his own.
